Regarding “Sam Bahadur”: Sam Manekshaw, the first Field Marshal of India, is the subject of this biographical film. Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the film features Vicky Kaushal along with Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh. The film marks Vicky’s collaboration with his ‘Raazi’ director once again.
In our review of the film, we wrote, “‘Sam Bahadur’ is a brave attempt but largely meanders aimlessly through most parts, attempting to give us insights into the life of one of the most respected and famous army officers. Perhaps, if Bahadur Manekshaw had seen the film, he might have said, ‘It’s alright, dear! The next time, fortune will favor you.'”
